Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
By J. K. Rowling
Summary: Harry’s summer has been terrible. The Dursleys have been even more horrid than usual, and Harry has gotten no letters from his friends at Hogwarts. When Dobby, a house elf, appears in Harry’s bedroom warning him that if he returns to Hogwarts, disaster will strike, Harry ignores him. But upon his return to his beloved school, disaster strikes indeed. Students begin to be found turned to stone, and suddenly Harry is accused of being the one behind it! Despite struggles with a stuck up new professor and the unwanted attentions of Ron’s younger sister, Ginny, can Harry, along with Ron and Hermione, figure out the truth before it’s too late?
My Review: This book is just as amazing as the rest of the series! I love how this book lets you get to know the Weasleys better, and you get to see Harry go to their house. The new cast of characters is super fun, and I love seeing Hogwarts explored further.
My Takeaway: This a fun, suspenseful, whimsical read, but you might want to be aware that their are magical elements and children getting petrified.
Romance: Light, Ginny has a crush on Harry.
